Loop Station

A live looper where every loop is a video of you

Loop pedals record sound; split-screen apps record whole takes one after another. This does both at once: build a song live, a bar-locked loop at a time, and watch it assemble into a grid of tiles as you go.

Open Loop Station

Needs a laptop with a camera and headphones. Takes stay in your browser.

Every loop is a video

Each take is a square tile of you playing it. A body-drum loop, the tune, then your voice — the arrangement becomes the video.

Locked to the bar

Record, stop, mute and delete all wait for the next bar line, so nothing ever cuts off mid-bar. A press an eighth note late still counts.

Any length, all in time

A 2-bar groove, a 4-bar tune and a 32-bar vocal play together, each looping on its own length from the bar it was recorded on.

The grid builds itself

One take fills the square. Two sit side by side, three go two over one, up to a 3 × 3. Mute a track and its tile leaves.

Clap to calibrate

Clap along to eight clicks. The mic and camera each measure their lag, so takes land on the beat you actually heard.

Keyboard first

Digits record, Shift mutes, Delete then a digit throws a take away, Cmd+Z brings it back. Space plays and pauses on the bar.
