Metronome

Precision timing for serious practice

Most metronome apps give you a click and a BPM slider. This one is built for musicians who care about timing — accent patterns, subdivisions, and visual feedback, all without leaving your instrument.

Open Metronome

Tap tempo

Tap along with the song and the metronome locks onto your tempo. Averages your last 8 taps for accuracy.

1 to 12 beats per bar

4/4, 3/4, 6/8, 7/8, 12/8 — pick any beat count. The accent pattern adjusts automatically.

Subdivisions up to 8

Split each beat into 2, 3, 4, or up to 8 subdivisions. Essential for internalizing complex rhythms.

Accent patterns

Toggle accents on any beat. Create patterns like emphasizing beats 1 and 3, or any custom combination.

Visual pulse

Beat dots light up and scale with every click. Subdivision dots pulse beneath each beat for visual timing.

Four sound types

Click, wood, hi-hat, and beep — all generated with Web Audio API. Different timbres for different instruments.

Configurable beat grouping

Group beats in rows of 2, 3, or 4. Helps visualize odd meters like 7/8 as 4+3 or 9/8 as 3+3+3.

Precise BPM control

Nudge by ±1, ±5, or ±10 with buttons. Slider for quick jumps. Keyboard arrows for hands-free. 20–300 BPM.
